I got a laptop from my son. Though I know his Administrator name and the password, but I'd like to make myself to be the administrator. What to do?

Here are some tips:
Login to Windows as administrator.
Open search (mouse to top right corner, then down) and type User Accounts (You might have to change search mode to Settings).
Click that and choose "Manage another account". Choose your account and click "Change the account type".
Then just toggle radio button to "Administrator" and click "Change Account Type" button.
